Greeting Everyone!
The Tailgate Party on
Friday September 25th, was a huge success, with about 300 people
attending and probably another 150 that showed up for the game. If
you know of anyone that wants to be on a email list, please let us
know. The 50th Committee has five special nights
honouring the Hawks Championship teams from the past (1972, 1977,
1996, 2002 and 2004) planned for the upcoming season.

1971 - 1972 OHA CHAMPS were honoured

Reception was held at a local restaurant
-
71 - 72 team members rode onto the ice in two stretch limos and
were greeted with a red carpet introduction at centre ice as part of
the pre-game activities

"C" Larry Haugh '72 team dropped the ceremonial puck for
Hawks Tim Bilcke and North Middlesex Stars Brian McClinhey

800 in attendance, admission was free

Hello Hawks Alumni and Fans,
The 50th Anniversary celebration
continues on Friday December 18th when the 1995-96 Championship
team will be honoured before the game. For those of you that haven’t made
it out to one of these night yet, you are missing out! Fun ceremonies
(limousines and fire trucks!!!), meet your favourite old players and
coaches and exciting Junior hockey. At the 1972 Championship Ceremony
there was approximately 750 in attendance and the 1977 Championship
Ceremony was only slightly less with and estimated crowd of 650!
This Ceremony kicks off with a “Beer Garden and
BBQ” at the South Huron Rec Centre starting at 5:30. Stop by after work
and have a bite to eat, cold beverage and mingle with the 1996 Champs! The
1996 team has tagged this night as “Fan Appreciation Night”. The first 300
fans through the turnstiles will receive a FREE
commemorative rally towel!
This will be another great night, all leading up
to the final party on the weekend of October 22-23, 2010!

Honour 2002 OHA Champs, Hawks vs. Mt Brydges
The next Hawks 50th Anniversary
celebration is on Friday January 22, 2010. It is sure to be another
outstanding evening, one you won’t want to miss. There will be a
display from the Hockey Hall of Fame featuring some of Canada’s
Olympic Medals. There will be an “after game” party at the Ridge in
Exeter featuring music by Lance Bedard. Hope to see everyone there.

Honour 2004 OHA Champs, Final Draw, Hawks vs. Lambeth
It's hard to believe that it is our final
"Champions Night". On Friday
February 12, 2010 the 50th Anniversary Committee will be honour our
Hawk Ontario Champions from 2004!
We have had overwhelming turnouts for every "Champions Night" ...
and we expect this one to be no different. Each night has seen
between 650-850 fans pack the stands to see our Champions as well as
the 2009-10 edition of the Hawks. If you haven't been following the
Hawks this year, they seem to be peaking at just the right time for
the playoffs. Looks like it will be "Cup Crazy" in Exeter again this
year!
Again it will be "FREE" admission night for the game, so bring the
entire family. After the game in the "HAWKS NEST", there will be a
Bar and DJ, so come out and mingle and support the team.
The 50th Committee is now focusing on the "Hawks 50th Reunion
Party" that will take place on October 22 & 23, 2010. Save the
date, as this weekend is shaping up to be outstanding.
